Lake Barron Citizens Association (LBCA)

The Lake Barron Citizens Association was formed (Chartered with the Quebec Government) in the early 1960’s when lake residents grew concerned with the pace of growth and the lack of control over the development of the lake.  A developer was planning to buy the land nicknamed <<The Island>> to build a hotel and marina.

As time passed and the lake population grew, the association had new challenges with the resulting environmental and safety impacts of a growing population.  Water testing, septic system upgrades, boating safety and shoreline revitalization were implemented to protect the health of our lake for future generations to enjoy.

The Association also organizes social activities to encourage fun and a sense of community for our residents.

Lake dues are $25 annually.  Simply complete the attached form and send to president@lbca.ca

This small contribution is very important to the lake association. It pays for water testing, buoys, signs, environmental projects, social events and administrative costs.
