This is a federal law.<br>Swimmers should stay close to the shoreline, be visible and not swim alone.&nbsp; Children and non-swimmers should wear flotation devices or life jackets at all times when near water.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Water skiing and other towing activities are under federal law. The rules covering water skiing also apply to towing activities such as wakeboarding, barefoot water skiing and tubing.&nbsp; If towing someone, there must be a seat for all persons in tow in that boat. (Minimum number of seats for boats being used to tow is 3.&nbsp; There must be a spotter in the boat watching the person being towed.&nbsp; This applies to Personal Water Crafts (sea-doos) as well as other motor boats.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use caution and slow speed (no wake &lt; 8 kph) while boating through the rock area in the Narrows.&nbsp; It is not recommended that you tow anyone through the Rocks in the Narrows.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-75\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/tc.canada.ca\/en\/marine-transportation\/preparing-operate-your-vessel\/pleasure-craft-operator-card-pcoc\" style=\"background-color:#3022c2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Transport canada PCOC<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-13c49d47cae51804f252a604e9f9471f\" style=\"color:#2f26cb\"><strong>Swimming Safety<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For safety and visibility, the use of a swim buddy float or swim buoy while swimming is highly recommended. These increase the swimmer&#8217;s visibility to all watercraft reducing the risk of collision.
